400Bhp Please
Re: 400Bhp Please
Yeah,Only had it 1 day,Engine had done 17K since re-build
Any advice most welcome,as I'm not throwing money away for it to go bang again
So my shopping list+Anything you suggest
Low Comp pistons+Rings (Meant to have steel rods) Definately ARP top/bottom
550cc Injectors( suggestions on brand etc?)
It has uprated Walbro (2 years old) I will fit new one
Poss Swirl pots?
Wideband lambda for sure
Anything worth doing while in bits?
Running standalone management (Megasquirt Ecu) was mapped by K-Tec in Doreset

Re: 400Bhp Please
so many variables, off the top of my head bar whats been mentioned a lot swap out the std oil pump for uprated if its not already done.. most other things can be done later.
Toyota Mr-2 roadster turbo
Re: 400Bhp Please
Just to add to what's already been said
Definite:
Z20LET oil pump (as Stu says!) - much stronger teeth design and more pressure
Steveboyslim head studs
Decent headgasket to suit
Metal rear water pipe (tx autosport)
Silicone (or new GM) coolant hoses
Then depending on your budget you could go all-out and go for SBD cambelt rollers, SBD bottom crank sprocket with modified woodruff key, bigger oil cooler.
All of these will reduce the risk of something catastrophic happening again.
Above all though, make sure the fuelling is there and not putting the injectors or lines under too much strain. I even went to the effort of having new braided fuel hoses ran through mine.

Re: 400Bhp Please
If you go for the z let oil pump as mentioned above apparently you need the z let pick up pipe and modify it to fit.

Re: 400Bhp Please
There's a pipe available from Vauxhall that's a good fit. Pickup end is approx 80mm closer to pump but gives same clearance to bottom of sump as original C20let/xe pipe.

From Vauxhall dealers
Part no 90500410 Should be about £40 + vat.
Z20let Oil pump part no is 24402722 £150 + vat
Pipe to pump oil seal part no 90500908
