New camera tryout at Modifed Nationals 2012

After many years of excellent service I decided to upgrade my from my Fuji F40fd point and shoot. I went for a Canon SX40 HS with x35 optical zoom Not a proper DLSR camera, but I don't want to have to lug about a lens the size of my leg to get a decent zoom option.

Popped along to the Modified Nationals on Saturday for a trial run...

Initial impressions of the show were OMG I'm in chav HQ, occasionally caught a whiff of 'funny' fags being smoked too.
Couldn't find any map layout of the show, or timetable of what was going on, so just had to wander round.

Got busted by the Maxxis girl whilst I was faffing about trying to sort the camera out


Not sure I'd want my mum dressed like that at a car show...
