Your first Calibra

The one I still own, an SE4 manual bought in 2002 at 28k miles, now on 37k. An extremely pampered car, I won't let Vauxhall dealers anywhere near it! I try to take it out for a drive at least once a week - it feels better built than my '06 Vectra!

My first calibra was a 1991 black c20xe reg h219fur
second was again a black c20xe l97rot
my third was this one that started off looking like this

and finished off like this

alright for being rebuilt in a layby at the side of the road
and those are the ones that i ran,i have had 5 other calibra's in between them

first one was a late k reg white turbo bought it from thankerton near biggar (lanarkshire) early 02 sold it mid 03 (was good clean car but been painted at some point) loved this car lol
second was m reg nautilas blue v6 bought from falkirk sep-oct 03 sold aug-sep 04 (very clean tidy car, i fitted turbo leather trim and wheels )
third was r reg black bought from ayrshire (dont remember the model)had the split rim bbs style spokey wheels 17s it had cream leather with the white dials at ashtray 2.0l 16v ecotec .

I've still got my 1st Kal ~ a red, 16v redtop, bought 2nd hand in 2001
It then suffered 'porus-head syndrome' so £1,000 spent getting it into A1 condition (oil-way sleeved, head skimmed, re-valved, waterway flush, new hoses etc)

~ I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it when I had to stop driving manuals ... I wish I'd been able to swap it for an automatic back then but didn't cos I couldn't get in/out of it any more.

I still have my first one bought in 2007. I wasn't old enough to remember the launch of the Calibra but my first memory of one was one my dad bought home from work one day in the late 90's it was a gold 8v irc.Loved being taken out in it! Will see if I can find a picture of it.
