Moving on

by drinksoptional » Fri Feb 21, 2014 1:04 pm

The Calibra`s Mot is due on the 5th of march so im going to stick it in get it mot`d then i am selling . I have liked driving the car but i havent took to it. The lack of space has been the main issue so i will either be swapping for a Isuzu trooper or Vx Omega estate might even have a look at saab estates see how much room they have . Ideally a trooper/montery 3.1td is what i am aiming for but happy to run a v6 omega estate if need be .

Just like to say thanks

The last owner was behind in general maintence and i have had to catch up with that . I cannot say i do not enjoy driving it except that fricking drivers window just cannot get it to sit right . The space has been the issue mostly and i knew coming from 4x4 to a car would be a difficult but 6 months down the line and i just havent took to it the wife likes the car and prob only car she feels comfortable and safe in and has encourage her to learn to drive told her if she gets her licence i will buy her one hence why im thinking try an omega it has more room and is similar to calibra inside so the familarity so to speak might keep her intrested in driving

Thought pop in see whats been going on.

I sold the Calibra i missed it nit long after , bought mk3 Isuzu Bighorn auto and recently sold and boight a 98 Omega estate Elite 3.0 Auto.

Cannot fault it ticks every box even mpg is quite decent . Has the full leather that are in great condition engine mechanicalky sound has a faulty crank sensor but no biggie. The auto box is quite good was surprised sports button helps would rather have git a manual but hard to find and this was cheap with long mot.

It wasnt practical due to rear room that was the only issue that had i fixed the minor things it would come down to the rear room.

i wanted a saloon specailly rwd the estate was more pratical , used to driving 4x4s i chuck allsorts in the back plus with two dogs its handy to have extra room plus a 10 year old boy.

If i had room for a calibra would i have another Yes
