V6 egr valve
does any1 know where the egr valve is located on the x25xe?
as my SE9 has started to idle irratically, revving itself up , and misfiring!
also, i understand that the x25xe has a secondary air intake?
is this the pipe that t's off from the induction pipe and goes to some kind of electronic valve that fits on the underside of the upper inlet manifold?

The valve under the inlet manifold is the idle speed control valve. You could remove this and give it a clean through as when it gets gunky it can cause running issues.

Re: V6 egr valve
does it eventually settle after start up or is it still doing it after its warmed up?
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Re: V6 egr valve
it still does it after its warmed up!
in fact, its actually worse once the cold start phase as ended and the revs drop.
when you first start it up, regardless of wether its from cold or as been run recently, it missfires for a while, then when at idle it the revs keep surging upto 3000rpm and holding there for a while, sometimes 30 seconds or even more, they will drop back almost to normal idle, but not fully, and only for a short while, then it will happen again and again. on odd occasions, if its really hot, it will idle normally, but it seems to be using alot of fuel, but also running hotter than usual aswell.
i have remove the valve from under the the inlet, and tried to clean it out as best i can, but to no avail.
i have even tried running it with the cable to the valve disconnected, and the problem is gone, although the EML is lit, and after a run, it struggles to start, so i reconnected the cable to the valve and the problem is present again.
each time the revs surge, literally a second before, there seems to be a sudden and loud suction noise from the valve.

Re: V6 egr valve
I would spray some carb cleaner through the ISCV and then a bit of oil to lubricate it back up.
I also had running issues just like this with my V6 using a lot of fuel misfiring and running like a dog. It ended up being the rocker cover gasket on the rear bank had leaked oil into the spark plug tubes. Cleared them out and it ran fine again.
