mot = fail

For all general things Calibra related

mot = fail

by Allys Cally » Sun Jun 12, 2011 8:23 am

well the se9 failed its mot yesterday :( it failed the emissions due to a hole in the backbox, lucky enough i'm managing to get a backbox off calibra ray. and also failed due to a fuel leak near the tank, just hoping its a hole in one of the lines and not the pipes on top of the tank.

Hope they're easy fixes for you, particularly the fuel leak.

My boy Rob-se9 had to fix a fuel leak and i think he had to drop his tank to get to it, seem to remember he had to replace a chunk of hose.

I had the same problem last year mate
i had to drop the tank and repair the plate
with the flow and return pipes on it as it
was badly corroded.

well jacked the car up and found the leak straight away, luckily its not the top of the tank. the fuel lines corroded where it goes into the rubber pipe that comes out of the top of the tank.
thing is doing the fuel lines was on the list of things to replace this year, was going to be replacing them with plastic lines as well :doh:
right wheres my big mate v6 steve :D
