Gone for MOT!!

by MadOnVaux! » Wed Apr 04, 2012 4:17 pm

MOT tomorrow.....not 100% sure how it'll do....if anything I hope it'll only be brake lines or flexy's, although front balljoints maybe abit suspect?

Swapped my HID's for standard bulbs and put my cat back on though ;)

Fingers crossed!!

Cheers folks :)

Just been and picked it up.....it passed, 4 advisories though, nowt major.

Quite a big bill (£334) as i tell them if it needs anything to just do it and it needed a balljoint so they put a new arm on, new track rod end, and they fitted my rear anti roll bar links, welding under front arch (where they all go!), plus they had to unseize track rods for alignment.....bloody old cars eh lol

If you take the wheel off, its sort of just under where the track-rods go through.

Under the bonnet where the arch meets the bulkhead it creates an area that grit and dirt build up, and it rots through.

My 1st Calibra went both sides, all 3 of my Cav's went there and this has gone too....passenger side area is accessible to clean out and waxoyl, but drivers side is hard to get to.

Hell it must've sprayed quite away then...they are a distance from the engine that mere leaks wouldnt get to.
