My recent trip to the continent!!

Cheers lads. It was a great trip alright. You could say it was a once in a lifetime holiday but we do plan to go back in a couple of years.
@Fraz I reckon we covered the week for around €1500 or maybe a little more if you include the cost of fuel.

Yep! That includes ferry from Dublin - Holyhead (€320) which wouldn't be required travelling from UK. We took Harwich - Hook of Holland one way going over which was nearly €400 but that included a cabin as it was a night time crossing. We stayed in Raunheim which is 15 min from Russelsheim for 3 nights for €300 and 3 nights at the Dorint Hotel in Nurburg for €340.
Travelling from the UK, I reckon if you took Dover - Dunkerque return, around £700 would cover the trip including fuel. Maybe a bit more if using a Turbo 4x4!

that works out at 1360 so you only used 140 worth of fuel ? or am i picking you up wroung

No I didn't include the cost of fuel in that. Over the week (9 days) I think I put €70 into it 5 times give or take. I definately didn't spend more than €350 - €400 on fuel. I tried not to think too much about it while I was there.
