so you have fitted so far

new plugs and leads
New Coil pack
New Crank sensor
New cam sensor ( is there not two of these???)
ICV
Ign Amplifier

checked

compression check on all cylinders
Checked the timing
and all air hoses

you say the plugs are covered in fuel...all of them or just one or two??

The only thing that has a big effect on the fuelling is the ECU coolant temp sensor, and seeing as you have already checked/replaced the ignition side of the system, this would be where I'd go next.

http://www.v6calibra.net/ wrote:Coolant Temperature Sensors:
The V6 has two screw-in CTS's. However, they have nothing to do with controlling the V6 cooling system. They are used to monitor the actual coolant temperature in the coolant bridge and they report back to:
1: the dash coolant temp gauge
2: the main Motronic ECU
3: is a fan motor coolant switch
The main one to watch out for is the ECU CTS (with a blue coloured connector). The ECU needs to know the coolant temp to help it to adjust for engine running conditions (cold start, etc).. The dash gauge CTS has a single black wire connector.

ECU CTS Sensor Test
Disconnect harness socket and connect voltmeter across pins in the sensor plug.
Measure the resistance across the pins, this varies with the temperature:
17.8 deg C = 2530 ohms
22.0 deg C = 2250 ohms
25.0 deg C = 1680 ohms

Sensor does degrade in signal response with time, a failing CTS does not always raise a fault code it just provides the ECU with an incorrect coolant temperature. Will eventually supply a bad reading out of ECU tolerance (which is when a code is raised). Symptoms can include poor start, rough idle and rich running/poor petrol economy.

TEST :
20 deg C = 3.0 to 3.5 v DC
80 deg C = 1.0 to 1.3 v DC
110 deg C should give ~ 0.6v
I used to own this Calibra...
I now own this one.

Have you got the plug leads on the right way round? if you have fuel and a spark you should have igntion, have you changed the fuel pump relay? drivers side kick pannel. you can feel it click when the key is turned.
