I have been without a car now for 6 months and it's getting annoying. Just put my last fix attempt on today then it p****s out petrol after 10 mins again, i feel like crying.
I have been onto Opel in Germany, GM in US and the OPel classic car place in Germany too, no-one makes them, so this is my only option left.

Is this going to be made? I need it badly as i don't have another car.

Give EddeyDancer a pm. He has a spare flange that's like new, or may be able to get you one from Australia. :)

I've now got only one left, and it's also in Top Condition...

I can get a few more but, you UK Guys won't want to pay the Australian Price for it...
Anything for a Calibra here is almost 5 times as expensive, as what it costs over there...

Postage alone for this part comes to 30GBP, and then add the cost of the part to that...
I could send 2 at a time, for the same Postal Cost, making it much cheaper...

Being that these Parts are not so easy to source, your options for this Part, are limited...
So it's either keep waiting for the production of this, or I can hook you up within a fortnight...

It all depends on who want's a Genuine Part, and who really needs it most urgently...

Mate...

The Breakers that I've contacted here, want at least $100
That being for the Part, their Labour and Postage to Me...

Then there's the $46 Postage Cost from Me to You

That converted adds up to GBP95 for a Solo Post
http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=9 ... GBP&To=AUD

However if I was to Post 2 at once, it would cost GBP160 and that would then bring it down to around GBP80 each
Then it would probably cost You about GBP5, to Post the 2nd Part to the other Guy...

I can probably only get hold of another 3 more of these, so there's no endless supply...
I'm not making anything on this, so I'm really not concerned if people are interested or not...
I'm just happy to help out, as it's well known that this Part gets very corroded over there...

We don't have corrosion issues here, like you guys have over there, so such parts are still in 'as new' condition...

Anyway... It's just another option for those who are in Urgent need, or prefer a Genuine Part...

EddeyDancer kindly sent me a top condition flange so the beast is almost ready, tomorrow at first light the tank is coming off and the flange is going on, so i can have a weekend driving the car again.

I am looking to completely restore the whole car over the coming years, so i want to protect this flange from the dreaded salt they spray when it gets icy.

Anyone got any advise as to what i should treat the metal with?

Hammerite?

Depends how much you want to pay. I use an aerosol can of this stuff

http://www.bilthamber.com/electrox

Then a few heavy coats of this

It should then outlast the rest of the car.

Thanks to Eddey Dancer, my car is back on the road.

Just have a question, to see if we calibra heads can work this out....

When stationary at lights on idle, lots of smelly blue smoke comes out the exhaust, it clears if i rev the car and doesn't do it when accelerating, only on idle after driving, doesn't smoke on start up...

Any ideas as to what would be causing this, i know there are 2 or 3 reasons but want to try and rule them out before spending big bucks on a ahead gasget or turbo seals, or valve seals.

The oil pressure is at 5 when moving but after a min or two on idle it drops to 2, is this normal, so long since i drove i tcan't remember...LOL

I have repaired mine and went OTT, using epoxy resin and hammerite. Who knows how long that will last.

I recommend... KBS rust blast 3 stage treatment, used for restoring rotten cars. the first two treatments clean present oxidising materials out. The final stage epoxy seals the metal. A Very strong non porous adhesive, takes almost two weeks to come off fingers.

U can get sample kit from ebay for £20. To test it I used hammerite on one arch and KBS on another over a year ago. Guess which has no rust returning.

BTW i might have another clean flange lying around. somebody here sent me the wrong one for a v6.
