Hi guys just thought i'd sign up to the site as im supposed to be picking up my cally 2moz
fingers crossed  ,My names dod and im from fife as the tital says , the car im meant to be
getting is a P reg 2litre 8v ,its a weird purplish colour with black leather and a set of 17's and full stainless and
there's another nice surprise on it tht i'll keep secret until i get it so i dont spoil aw the fun  ,I was wondering if the 8valves are good enough engines for the cally?? i know they are bomb proof as my mates got one in a nova,i'm a vauxhall man at heart but currently driving a mb6 civic vti but miss my griffins to much and always wanted a cally so doing a deal on my civic.Sorry for the long winded post and thankyou for reading.... Pics will be posted after i pick the car up  Cheers Dod

welcome to cc.net, theres nothing wrong with the 8v's had mine for 3 and a half years and only the only problem i had with it was a tps packing in.
it was everything else round the engine that i had to replace

welcome to the club mate, aye the 8v engines are good little motors and they do have better low end grunt but they do lose out to the 16valves higher up the rev range ,but the are good any calibra is a good calibra
