I imagine the V6 would be abit 'lazy' for a track car....so i'd say XE.

Turbo and 4x4 power is what I'd really like, however I like my car to be mint and a few too many track days will ruin my chances of that.

never mind turbo you want a track weapon forget the calibra aswell go and get a corsa/nova strip it out put an xe on carbs in off you go and remmeber to wear your adult nappy you will need it

joys of using a corsa is if you smash it who cars away to the breakers and get another shell for £100 quid not trash a 2k calibra and not be able to replace it

If the choice is to buy another calibra though, why not another turbo?

we have went for a v6 in ours but it is rear wheel drive so that will help with the under steer, and you can pick the engines up pritty cheap, but if we had the money we would have went rear wheel turbo
