Sprung a leak
The rubber base of my aerial has decided it wants to be in 2 bits and in this rain is leaking into the roof lining which had
dropped at back from the last time i changed it. I was wandering if i should spend the £60 for a new Vaux one or buy one of
these from ebay that doesn't have the rear washer bit and use the rubber bit from this. Anyone else done this?

Re: Sprung a leak
Autovaux do them cheaper than stealers too....ive bought a couple from them.
That rubber seal sure is a naff quality part....I nearly fitted a sharkfin last time but wanted to keep my rear washer.

Such a Pest of a Job, for such a Small Part...
I've removed this part recently, and re-done my roof lining, so if you have any questions...
Seeing as your Roof Liner also needs attention, it's an ideal time to also check out the Sunroof components!

They'll all be knackered at the scrappies....the rubber seal starts to split/perish after about 12 months.

Re: Sprung a leak
New base from Autovaux fitted today, all sorted now, except i think the washer nozzle is a bit bent as when i squirt the window the water jet hits the rubber seal at the top of the window and only just dribbles down

Re: Sprung a leak
Remember to adjust it so it just and so squirts on the screen at the top, as when your driving it it'll squirt lower down due to airflow....adjust it too far down when it's stationary and it ends up missing the glass altogether.
