Cream Door Cards...filthy!
I was giving mine a good vac out and clean round interior this morning, and decided to get the Cream bit on the door cards abit cleaner.
It has always bugged me, but i thought it was just the colour/texture of the vinyl used on the card as when ive wiped them over in the past, no dirt has come off...even when i used a nail brush on them it didnt shift much, but i tried something else this morning...
I sprayed them both over with Autoglym interior shampoo and left it do soak while i got on with the hoovering...finished hoovering and sprayed them over again and wiped with a microfibre, and once again nothing really shifted, but i used abit of elbow grease and dirt started shifting, and a hell of alot of it, i was shocked and suprised just how much dirt was coming off and what the difference in colour was of the clean parts....but you really have to rub hard at it to get the dirt out as it is ingrained, i only did half as my elbow was killing me.
The clean bits are still not 100% IMO..I'll give em another go another day, I will let the pics do the talking:

There we go...if anyone else has this issue, it's worth getting them clean, the difference as you can see is superb.
and if anyone says it's Leather, it isnt!

Cheers Steve...I was honestly shocked at the colour they were supposed to be, at least once they are properly clean a wipe over every so often should keep them clean

Re: Cream Door Cards...filthy!
Nice work. Now get scrubbing the rest of them you slacker!
I've got the cream interior too and is definitely in need of a good spruce up.

Re: Cream Door Cards...filthy!
would be using an all purpose cleaner (flash, daisy or some other brand} on them diluted to 10:1 with a soft bristle brush, problem is that people use all sorts to clean the door cards and it ends up putting a coating on the sealing the dirt underneath
Re: Cream Door Cards...filthy!
I tried using a soft nail brush on them a while back and that didnt shift the dirt.
I do use that armor-all protectant on the door cards, but only on the black bits, i think it brings them up nice.

Not an 'APC' no, but 'Autoglym Interior Shampoo' which is designed for the job.
Re: Cream Door Cards...filthy!
may well be designed for the job...and working.... all be it with a lot of hard work. But each to their own
hope your elbows get better soon

Re: Cream Door Cards...filthy!
Also i'd rather not have my interior smelling high of Lemon or Pine or whatever else these APC's usually stink of.
