The one little thing that irritates you about your car

For all general things Calibra related

The one little thing that irritates you about your car

by Callyman » Wed May 23, 2012 5:49 pm

We all love Calibra's or we wouldn't be here,
but what little niggles/ problems annoy you about yours or Calibra's in general.?

I will start with having cracks in the dash/windscreen moulding strip, not an easy thing to sort out and right in your face.

Never had mine seize Ally (yet) but when i had the Cav's in the past, when i knew i was going to get the tracking done etc I soaked them in WD40 and wrapped a bag around them with cable ties a few days before, worked every time mate.

Not really a niggle with the car, but the cally in general, that fact most people think they're crap, always have to justify my car cos it's not in with "in crowd"

It has to be the rust and the fact children/ teenagers don't even know what car it is. Every time I take it to college I get asked what it is.

Not really one little thing but

The totally pathetic standard dip beam headlights. Must be the most dangerous feature on the car. How they passed GM QA when they are worse than a Mk2 Cavalier let alone a MK3 is beyond me. Makes the car almost undrivable fast and safely at night.Thank goodness for HIDs.

The side support brackets for the rear bumper quietly rotting away out of sight.

Electrolytic corrosion in the sill joint at the back of the door.

Flame red paint turning pink is another but that is a general GM fault rather than a specifically Calibra one.

The one thing I hate about the car is the same thing I love about the car.

It's a calibra.
