Fitting an alternator belt

by jwarrrr » Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:13 pm

Hi guys, now I've got the engine running(thanks for all the help guys), I'm trying to fit the alternator belt. Any good suggestions? The bolts holding the engine mount seem stuck solid so getting to the top Allan bolt Is looking very tricky(I've got the bottom 2 out), I don't seem to be getting anywhere fast.
Cheers for any help, George

If you support the engine and undo the mount from the wing you can lower it enough to slide the belt from between the mount and wing. You will need something like a 3ft breaker bar to get the bolts on the mount undone.
