Would you

As most of you know the LE isnt well and im not putting the Drain on the road this year so the only way to get a calibra to Billing is to tow one down, now i sold my trailer last month to a mate and i can use it any time i want but he is using it the billing week end so the only choice is the A-Frame, would you tow a calibra the 780 mile round trip on a A-Frame or not bother brining a calibra to Billing ?

I would not risk using an A frame on that distance ..just enjoy the weekend without having to clean one

Oh and made it a poll ...if you don't want that just let me know

what difference does the distance make (just trying to be devils advocate) its 99% motorway if it was on the trailer i would only do 55 mph anyway, iv towed from Gretna and towed heaver

getting an other trailer is out the question unless i can get one for free (not going to spend money on somthing when i could put that money into fixing the LE)

distance = more likely to have problems, more plod to get nosey or bored so pull you over. I don't think AA RAC will recovery you and then a car on an A frame if something did go wrong

I would not do it as per you question

that's a better idea...if it does breakdown then AA will take you there...if it makes it there then AA gets it home

I didn't think using an A Frame was good for the 4x4. Drive it, will be fine

I have A-framed a car for 200 miles and it is, as you say, easy once you are bowling down the motorway. But, if you A frame a Calibra what are you going to tow it with that is heavy enough to be legal?

Its a long way and there are some pretty ***** coppers out there.
