Knock sensor issues

by CallySpencer » Wed Jul 30, 2014 10:01 pm

Hey all, have got the number 17 on paperclip test which says its the knock sensor. The EML is coming on intermittently but is always number 17, but when it comes on if i redline the throttle it goes away for a while is this normal? Has anyone else had this scenario? All advice welcome :-)
Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Same issue for me, but I get a Code 16...

I recently added an 'Octane Booster' product (RISLONE Brand) and noticed a big reduction in the EML coming on...

Mine also goes away, when I give it high revs, or allow the car to warm up for a longer period...

Hope that is of some help to you...
