anyone ever fitted a diesel??

was just thinking whats biggest diesel you could fit in a cally?
i could be doin some travelling up an down the country so would be wise if i invested in a diesel but id only treat it like s**t as i only like driving calibra's.
ano the 1.7 isuzu would fit but id want summat bigger that would do a bit more when i need to put foot down so what would goin in??

i uesd ti have a new 1.7tdi when they cam out was a great engine and loads of power

i was thinkin summat a bit bigger tho like a 2.2-2.5 maybe it would go better with what ive got planned for the silver v6 ive got,
which should be in for an mot this week hopefully if i dont go workin away already that is
