Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 * 400+ hp
Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 * 400+ hp
After being registered here more that two years I decided to create a thread about one of my Calibras
So Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 - what is about this name...
This Calibra came into my family in the summer of 2007 after more than 6 months searching for Last Editions in Germany.
Why Last Edition? A little of its history here...
Last Edition – the very last modification of european Opel Calibra.
Calibra Last Edition was produced in limited edition - 984 cars, and was available only for German customers.
All 984 Last Edition Calibras were assembled in Finnish Uusikaupunki, and every car has its own number on the ashtray cover

Last Edition Calibras differs with front bumper, side moldings and lowering, done by Irmscher as well as 16" BBS RX alloys.
So, our car powered with X20XEV arrived in June 2007 as on pic:

First of all awful M-style side mirrors were changed to originals.
Next, car was debadged and lip spoiler was mounted onto the back door.
Lip spoiler is the only non-original part of exterior in this car, however I think it looks very attractive.

Later number surrounding plate by Hella was painted in body color and installed

That's it about exterior
Since we owning this car, it participated in following more or less noticable events:
Car magazine's "Forsaza" Calender 2008

Calibra Cup 2008 1st stage

Baltics Calibra owners meet Vilnius Grand Meet 2008

Cars exhibition during Battery Drag Meeting 2008

Cars exhibition during DrinkMe Drag Race Cup'09

ClubCalibra.net Calender 2010

Park&Party 2010 vol.1

And a little more of nice pics

To be continued...

Re: Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462
That looks superb.
Kinda makes you wonder if they were planning to keep it in production with a facelift?

Re: Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462
Thanks for your comments

STAGE 1
Some of you may remember that I have two Calibras in my garage - one was '93 Calibra with C20XE M2.8, and the other is as described above - Last Edition with X20XEV.
I decided to build a turbo in Last Edition chasis, but on C20XE basis.
So, engines were pulled out

Of course there was a big deal inside, because '97 Calibra is equipped with immo, that had to be installed to '93 Calibra together with X20XEV engine and loom

And photo of engineless Last Edition with my friends Andrey and Valera

Re: Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 * now with Turbo
It's time to put the head on.
Thing many 16V owners would like to have, but not everyone has

Head and turbo are on their places
