well as promised

by Jamesyboy » Sat Jun 05, 2010 9:47 pm

here is some pics of my not new but my new calibra!

Got her today, and drove her home from glagow.. She aint perfect, a few blemishes here and there, but its a good very strong shell to start restoring.
The wheel centre caps aint on as ive been indulging in a barbeque tonight so ill get on that in the mornin.
First pic looks a little weird as its parked on a funny angle...

And on the numberplate there was a silver sticker, which looked stupid, so i peeled it away only to ironically find this :)

Yeah its a redtop goes well too!!, its not tidy tidy, but its very solid, there ius a spot of rust on the lip of the bonnet, one under the rear plate, and one arch has a wee blemish, other than that is all good.

i dont really know whats the plan. I do know paint work is top of the list, i dont know if i wanna kit it up, or keep it the same, or what. But she will be gettin put in the barn and kept nice and dry for a good few months. I want cream leather, white wheels, and maybe a different engine along the line. Although the one thats in it is great fun. Real grunty and nippy :-)

Looks ok from the pictures James , as for a plan I would be given it a good service and change the timing belt, then get all the underside checked over for brake pipe and fuel lines...HID kit, cold air feed

why would you want to change the engine, 16V is a good one to tune up so just keep that in ...only problem will be if it has had the porous head problem before and has it been fixed, or is it going to happen

What mileage is on it ??
