My W.I.P
Right guys , I've only owned this calibra for just a few weeks . Up until now all I've fitted is my kenwood head unit , my 18" wheels & replaced the washer bottle pump ( thanks craigy lol ) . The car came with a years mot but I was never really happy with the handbrake . It did hold but it was sticky , so with me being me , rather than strip & clean the drum/ shoes I decided to replace them :
I also got these drilled / grooved discs with the intention of sticking them on my cav Gsi but seeing as that'll be off the road for a while the calibra will benefit from them :
On the left of the photo there's a wee gearbox oil seal that needs replacing too . All quite easy stuff so far
Praise the Lowered !

You will probably know this with the cav but make sure this part (not sure of it's name ) is not rusted together mate.
Phill.

Hi John. Where did you get the springs and pins that hold the shoes to the backplate, Autovaux?

Re: My W.I.P
when u got the brakes did you ask them for a cavalier shoe hold kit ?, I sell delphi at work and the cavy one has the slot to fit a screwdriver in but the cavy one doesn't, strange that brakes are same and hold down kit different.

A wee update on the calibra , first off , a big thank you goes to calibra guru craigyboy for fitting the rear brake set up & sorting out the handbrake for me . Top job fella ! ( sorry about the mess on your driveway lol )
Done the fronts too while I had the paint out , looks a lot better now as before you could see the dirty / rusty bits through the wheels because the gaps between the spokes are so large . Also painted the calipers canary yellow to match the " Flying chips "
How she looks now :
