Eddey's V6 - The Stocky...
Eddey's V6 - The Stocky...
EDDEY'S V6 - MY 2ND CALIBRA (Fully Stock)
I often thought about getting a 2nd V6 Calibra, for use as my Daily Drive...
Anyway... I saw an Ad on Gumtree, and decided to check it out...
My intention was purely to just 'check it out' and try to expand on our Sydney Calibra Group...
But I was too tempted, and ended up making a reasonable offer, and bought the car instead...
The car had only 80,175 Kilometres, and is in fairly decent condition...
It looked rather neglected, but with great potential...
The only downside, was that it had been out of Registration, for over a year...
This meant that getting it back on the road, would require a 'Blue Slip' (MOT) Comprehensive Inspection...
I obtained a Vehicle History Report, which listed 4 Previous Owners...
1st Owner: Nov 95 - Aug 98 (3 Years)
2nd Owner: Sep 98 - Jul 05 (7 Years)
3rd Owner: Aug 05 - May 12 (7 Years)
4th Owner: Jun 12 - May 14 (2 Years)
Bought: 19 May 2014, and Registered it four months later, 26 Sep 2014
To get it driving safely, I had to change a coolant few hoses, as they had split, due to corrosion...
Other than the Basic V6 Engine Upgrades, I'm planning on keeping this car fully stock...

I won't be tinkering too much with The Stocky... I imported the Lowering Kit from Germany about 3 years ago...
I was planning on fitting it on The Ghost, but combined with the Body Kit, that would not have been a good idea...

Thanks Mate...
I'm really enjoying driving this car, and having the option of using The Stocky, or The Ghost...
Being it Summer here already, The Stocky is more suited for daytime use, and The Ghost is more suited for the night...
Hit 81,000 Km today...
I'll be doing some Engine Upgrades, very soon...
I'm not liking the Oil leak, coming from the Rear Cam Cover!!!
So I'll be doing...
Lower Manifold Upgrade
Fuel Injectors Serviced
Metal Cam Covers Upgrade
Spark Plugs - Twin Electrode
Check Leads (change if necessary)
Upper Manifold - Fully Serviced
It'll be smooth as can be at just over 81,000Km

Re: Eddey's V6 - The Stocky...
ACTIVITY UPDATE: 13 OCT 14 @ 81,081Km
I got a Spare Key cut yesterday, as only one, came with the car...
I suspected that the Front Speakers were blown, so a quick inspection was conducted...
Seeing as the speakers will be needing replacement, I've decided to do the Door Handles as well...
I'm finding it very difficult to keep this Calibra stock, when there are many improvements, that can be made...
