getting my SE6 back on the road bulld/progress thread.
getting my SE6 back on the road bulld/progress thread.
hello all....how are we...?
Right my SE6 is a non starter at the moment....well since shes been off the road over the winter...its a c20ne engine and ran fine untill it stopped running cranks over fine.
What i do know......
1...checked the fuel relay and tried another(no change..i can feel it click twice prime/run)
2...there is fuel at the rail
3...changed the crank sensor(made no difference)
4...checked for spark...seems ok(not a huge spark though)
5...there is fuel in the chambers(can smell it while spark plug is out)
6...checked all the earths they seem ok
My lappy OBD reader came up with
OP-COM 100219a - PC based diagnostic tool
OP-COM - KW82 Communication Window> 1995 (S)|Calibra|Body|Immobiliser
KW82 protocol initialized.
ECU ID= AA,90532624,0896,2195,1796,H1876,W0L000085T9007889,
Part Number: 90532624
Alpha Code: AA
Mechanical key code: H1876
VIN: W0L000085T9007889
Production Date: 1796
Software Date: 2195
Total number of fault codes: 2
00011 - Transponder Key Problem
Not present
00015 - Vehicle Speed Signal Voltage Low
Not present
Right ok....the 00011 code is immobilizer related ? The code have been cleared and have not returned yet...tried my spare key(chipped) just in case...no change cranked fine...no eml
As for the other one 00015 I`ve been told not to worry about that yet as it would not stop the car from running.

Hi,
There's a relay associated with the immobiliser function isn't there? Could be this...
Thanks for your comment on my rebuild thread by the way.
Best of luck sorting this.

Im not shure...theres two relays up under the dash(green)...some in the fuse box......and some in the engine bay fuse/relay box.

In the passenger side kick panel I think. I've never had an immobiliser issue so I'm pulling this from somewhere deep in the recesses

the 8v in the se3 that John Kerr had didnt have an ignition amplifier
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Re: getting my SE6 back on the road bulld/progress thread.
So as my cally has turned into a long term project its been moved to a garage....ive called it CallyCave lol
Got her up on axl stands so i can have a good look at her.....not too bad really some rust here and there....
Fuel lines are fine....they were "wax oiled" according to the History i got with the car.
The cat looks like a OE type...
The down pipe to cat is rusty
Now heres the rust at the back end...clearly its not been protected for a long time...mabe not as bad as some though.....
The front sub frame is not so bad....and wont be a bad job to sort out.
The power steering pipes are ok...apart from oily from when i did the pump.
passenger side pic(i think lol)
Alternator side
Drivers side Strut/drive shaft.

Similar condition underneath to my mag blue 16v, easy to sort just time consuming.
