Mag blue 16v
Hi guys, been a forum member on here now for a while and also on facebook where I've posted a few pics of my 16v, so finally decided to put up a thread on here on it. I've owned the car for 4 years now, had a diamond black 16v previously for around 5 years then sold it, missed it and bought this 1 around 2 months later lol.
It was bought as a project, had been sitting in the previous owners yard for 2 years with no mot but had been started occasionally but was looking sorry for itself. He had planned to scrap it if it hadn't sold so I had to save it. It had 159k on the clocks, mostly motorway miles and had a file full of history along with it.
This was it after I got it home and washed all the green muck and grime off it.
It doesn't look too bad in the pic but most of the paintwork round the front end was completely shot with peeling lacquer, stone chips, scrapes etc. It took almost a year to complete the work to put it back on the road.
Before being put back on the road it got new brake pipes front to back, new discs and pads, full exhaust front to back, new springs, timing belt kit and water pump, most of the sensors replaced in the engine, new thermostat, full service, new tail light, full dent removal done prior to paint, new upper weather strips on both sides, sunroof stripped out and repaired, tow bar removed, new clutch, plugs and leads, zender front apron, new wheels, interior stripped out and cleaned, front end re spray along with lower half of drivers side bodywork and rear bumper, full opel outside conversion, engine bay tidy up and some parts painted.
The day it made it back on the road

Since then it's had a full suspension overhaul, including, new gas shocks, new lower arms, new rear wheel bearings and rear brake backing plates, rear frame removed, stripped and painted, fully polybushed front and rear, new drop links, wheels refurbed, rear hella numberplate surround fitted, opel airbag fitted to complete conversion and recently purchased a friedrich Motorsport stainless four branch.
This is how it sits today

One if my fav calibras, hats of to you, doesn't show it's miles, cleaner than ones I've seen with 60k

Thanks guys, hope to bring it over to billing next year. Currently on the look out for another calibra, but not many to choose from on this side of the Irish sea.

At first glance it looks like u have some odd lines on the bonnet but I'm guessing they're actually on the ceiling!?
I'm sure it was seeing those wheels on ur car that inspired me to go the same route.
