Time Delay Dome light

I just purchased a time delay dome light from a newer model Opel. Does anyone know how do connect the blasted thing to a car not designed for it? The only leads I have are the door switch controlled hot and earth wires.

It also has map lights on either side of the main light, and neither of these work.

Could someone please tell me what i need to do to get this to work properly?

This is only from memory so don't quote me.

from left(1) to right(4). Left(1) being the odd terminal (think it's 3 male, 1 female or the other way round)

(1) odd terminal = earth
(2) Perm live, your old live
(3) to the light/door switches, should be your old grey wire
(4) Ignition only live

The center light should be on, when you open the doors.
The 2 map lights should only come on when you flick the switch and the ingnition is on.

Yeah, but my calibra only has the wires for the door switch and the earth. No wires for the other terminals....
