Flickering

I have noticed for a while now that my cooling fan in the engine seems to be playing up. It seems to be coming on a bit irregular and also I have got out of the car twice now and the fan has carried on going at full steam.

Has anyone had to replace the temp thing that regulates the fan ? how much are we looking at ?

Also is the switch on its way out ?

Also I have found that the all of the electrics are flickering as it comes on

it's supposed to come on when you turn the engine off after a long drive, or in hot weather where the engines got up to and above operating temperature.

it sounds as though the battery/alternator is on its last legs if your electrics are overly flickering as the fan comes on.
