Toad Alarms

Im thinking of getting a Toad A850T2 alarm/immobiliser.

Apparently, it upgrades your stock alarm/immob for a Thatcham 1.

As my Callibra has central locking with the key, how easy is it to add remote central locking with the alarm fob?

Go for the Ai606 - should be around £220 fitted and it's CAT1 and will do what you need.

Does that replace the stock alarm/immob?

Can I buy it supply only and get it fitted somewhere, (I know a guy that fits alarms), because I cant find a registered fitter around me who doesnt charge a fortune.

Im not bothered about getting money off insurance, im bothered about bastards nicking my pride and joy!

They are good when they work.

When you want to claim on the "Life-Time Gaurantee" they are sh1t!!

the worst after sales company i have ever dealt with.

I would go for Clifford every time.

If you want a cheaper one try Cobra.

I had a Toad Ai606 on my old 8v and my brother's just had one put on his Golf G60 Rallye. Both have been and are being absolutely fine.

I think a lot of it comes down to the installer. I've heard bad things about Cliffords... personally speaking I have a Cobra on the V6 and apart from some false alarms due to the ultrasonics a few months ago, it's been good as gold.
