Are my windows wired properly...
Ok, having probs with passenger window not working all the time so removed the switches and had a look around... and connections and solder joints look fine and sometimes after i've had a poke around in there it starts working again so i'm guessing something is wrong in there.
While looking today (after had probs starting it) i noticed something odd with the passenger connectors... now i'm no electrician so wanted to see what you guys thought...
Now, if you look at the first pic the passenger connections wires are across the top... there are 5 wires that are connected (6 if you include the 2 red/white ones, think this has to do with immobiliser/alarm)... ok fair enough there... next pic, the connector that plugs into connector in last pic... only 4 wires in this one, i'm confused now... nothing connects to the one with the 2 red/white wires in it... surely this aint right??
Last to pics i've upped, the first is on the wiring on the passenger switch, and the last is of the drivers side and all the wires going into wherever... somewhere along the mine i seem to be losing a red wire... 2 come from the switches, one comes back up and into that little box near the switches and then a plain red one comes out of that and goes to the connector for the drivers side... i'm sure i'm missing something here...
Phew, hope thats enough description for you lot to advise

The most common reason for this is a knackered window mechanism control, it is a box fitted to the back of the mechanism in the door. It's as if there is a loose wire somewhere in the system (there may well be!) and will only work intermitantly. You have to replace the mechanism which means drilling the rivets out of the mechanism that inside the door and riveting the new one in. I had that problem 2 years ago, problem fixed and no problems with it since.
