Oil Warning Light

Hi

I own a K reg 2.0 16v SE calibra.

I wonder if anyone can help? Did a motor way run the other day and car was running great, really hot weather and got stuck in traffic a bit but the temp was still running quite low. Got out the car and was gone about 10 mins got back in and started it up and the orange oil light would not go out, is this the oil coolant? if so has anyone else had this problem? Light went out shortly after and hasnt come back on since.

Also on another matter, when you put both your heated seats on does anyone else have the battery light come on but really faintly?

Help would be appreciated thanks

It's your level light - check it and make sure you actually have the right amount of oil in the engine.

The battery light may mean your alternator isn't doing it's job.

the orange light for the oil is the oil level light, its usualy the level sender wires are faulty on the plug or occasionaly the sender gets stuck in the up position,
if your battery light comes on with both heated seats, test the battery, my alternator is fine but twice in 3 years now the battery has died and caused this, but it could also be the alternator, if it still starts ok, as its so hot outside i would just not put the heated seats on till the winter and replace it then!

Yeh thanks for that. Will have a look at the wires have checked the level and thats ok.

Seats are not really a problem. The car has had a new battery and alternator recently, its just one of those annoying things!

Thanks for your suggestions
