I don't think it would be any one of the relays under the bonnett. THey are normally big mother fuses for the main electrics.
I think it may be BEHIND the fuse box. If you pull the fuse box out you will see a raw of fuses mounted in the hole behind the fuse box.
It maube one of those. Sorry can't be anymore of help
Cheers

If it's the main radiator fan that's not working, the switch is on the engine, on the coolent bridge between the heads, it forms the front bolt for the coolent bridge see below :-

unplug the connector for it and link the plug with a piece of wire - if the fan runs the switch is dead, simple

i have an 8-valve, but the coolant temp sensor and the fan relay are different things. the fan relay is in the radiator and switches the big fan on. its actually mounted on the radiator, facing the engine. i presume its on the driver's side. then again, i might be wrong, but for keepin it simple, most cars are like this. the fan control doesnt want the ecu involved, so we have this relay. thats why if its REALLY hot the fan will work after switching ignition off and locking your car, until the temperature lowers under 97 (i think).
i would love to post a picture, but its dark outside and my car is filthy. i'd rather not embarass my self

Quote :- yeah that's how i have it set up if i need to use the car,
If you short the connector that goes to this sensor and the fan runs so you can use the car, then it's that's the sensor that's faulty, they're £16 from autovaux, my Rad fan wouldn't run, changed that sensor - fine now.
If you really feel the need to hunt down the relays involved they are K52, K67, and K87 if you have aircon......
F34 and F42 might be worth looking at too.
hope this helps
