brake light pad sensor

Am i correct in saying the small warning light is the brake pad sensor,

its just last night the light came on and wont go off whereas sometimes it has flashed on and off when you press the brake in.is this something to be worried about or is it normal?

or can i disconnect it and tie it up somewhere

is it a circle with small lines around each side? thats the brake pad sensor,or is it the light that looks like a small lightbulb? cut my brake pad sensors off when i uprated my brakes,no more annoying light!

yep thats the one ,so really as soon as you pull the sensors from the caliper no more light ?that will be better you always know when the pads might be low

mine wouldn't fit in the uprated brake set up,light was still on even when they were tied up,got so peeved off i just chopped em off.
