Heated Seats Not Working!!!

Hey all since ive had my cali, neither of the front heated seats have worked. both of the switches light up, and none of the fuses are blown. both of the seats are connected to the plugs underneath them, and the leather was in the car when new! any ideas people coz im stumped!

the wires in the seats are very thin and are prone to break best thing to do is get the plug going in to the seat wack a multimeter across and see if you have continutity

Thanks mate, so how will i tell, ive got hold if one but not to familiar with them! if the wires in the seats are broken, is there any way of fixing them without ripping the seats apart? cris

if the seats are totally out of the car and you look underneath you will see a round disc thermostat in the rear of the base of the seat you can test each wire,the thermostat,and the ellement

How do i test them? and can i replace say the termostat if its screwed? thanks mate

the stat is retained using 1or2 screws switch the multimeter onto ohms the reading should be 'mid' scale not zero and not open line/circuit

Check the wire close to the seat belt clasp (from base to back), they break all the time due to wear-and-tear caused by folding the seat forward letting in back seat freeloaders!

Mine needs sorting too.
