Central Locking Problem

by v6_calibra » Tue Nov 15, 2005 11:23 pm

When locking car, it unlocks itself strate away, only leaving driver side door locked!!

Any ideas?

One other thing, when closing window, it opens its self back up... who reckons my electrics are just shot?!

Cheers

The solenoid on one of the doors has gone mate. If you lock the faulty one the car will stay locked?

"If you lock the faulty one the car will stay locked?"

Dont get what you mean by that...

... When i lock the drivers door (With the Key), all doors lock then unlock (except drivers as ive just turned the key in that one)

So which solenoid is it thats knacked?

usually the passenger door
do you have remote unlocking?

if you manually lock the passenger door and then walk round to drivers door and lock it does the door unlock straight away then?
if noyt its deffo the passenger door.
its veryu unlikely that its the wiring mate
and for the record a cav central door lock motor fits the calibra so it should only be a couple of quid at the scrappies

aye but i know buck all about central locking, espesh fitting it... i'm having to resort to locking pass. door before i get out then using key to lock drivers door.

Getting new alarm etc (with remote central locking) soon so i'll let them have a look at it.

Cheers for the reply
