V6 wont start!

can anyone tell me when the crankshaft sensor on the v6 auto puts the car into limp home mode can it stop the fuel pump and cause the car not to fire up?

is there anyway of clearing the fault or finding out the fault code? is there a how to on doing this?

the car is turning over but will not start and yes before u ask fraz i DO have fuel in the car ....lol

I will be replacing the sensor soon but i wanna check if u need to do anything else as i am new to the v6!
