What is the button by window openers do?!

What does the spare button in the middle console next to the window openers do? It does not say in the dealership owners manual or haynes manual, I had this on my old cavvy to, it really bugs me! anyone know what it does?!

On the subjust on buttons....... What does the one inbetween the alarm sencors at the top of the door do, I think there is a light on the outher side, but I dont know what the button does???

the button between the alarm sensors is to "program" the alarm for which sections are covered by the alarm. Either the whole car, the boot only, the cabin only etc. Theres a section in the cally manual for it. page 36
