Outside temp sensor stopped working?

by simonV6 » Thu May 04, 2006 8:44 pm

Got into my car the other day, it was quite a warm day and just wondered what temp it was.
Looked over to find out and there was just 3 lines across it :frown:

Anyone had this before or know why?

the sensor is either faulty or has a faulty connection. have a look under the passenger side of the front bumper, it should be clipped in there.

if the sensor is faulty you can buy them new from vx for a tenner.

Are the three lines accompanied by a little F in the corner? If so the sensor might be knackered. Its located on the nearside of th front bumper, underneath. It sticks through the bumper by a few mill. Check it out, connector, wiring ect. Mine snapped off when i bumped up a high kerb(at high speed)......(it was icy)
