heated control just pumping out hot air

for some reason on way home yesterday,i just got hot air,was boiling in the car during the 4hr drive home(yeah got lost as usual,lol)
any ideas whats up with the control unit?
maybe just stuck on hot air

Maybe the wire to the slider has come of the back?

sounds as above the cable has become detached

Mine is doing this, i need a new cable as a plastic piece has snapped so it wont hold in place at the 'flap' end of things. If i want to change to cold or vice versa i just move the white bit in the footwell just to the left of the clutch and up a bit. I will change it one day when i get time. I keep putting it off as i dont want to do it!
