Hi, new here

Ive just bought my first calibra and the electric mirrors dont work, well they do left and right but not up and down, ive changed the switch and its still the same, are there any areas where its prone to failing?

The fault is the same for both mirrors

And here she is, bought from ebay for £350 11 months mot 5 months tax

Ill take some more pics eventually and add them to the relevant section soon

Yes ive set them manually so propably wont need to adjust again but its nice to know everything works.

Anyone know what colour the wires are for the up/down movement in the mirror plugs so I can input 12v so I know its not the mirrors at fault.

Is the mk3 cavs wiring the same because I can use the diagrams from the haynes manual.

Yes they are all clipped in, they werent before but still dont work, you cant even hear the buzz of the motor.

The connectors were a bit green when I took the mirrors off but I sprayed a bit of WD40 in both ends and no result

Used to have the same prob with my near side mirror after i washed the car would only go up and down but after a few days was OK managed to source a brand new one of E.bay only £38.

Try looking on there normally a few mirrors for sale.
I it was not for bad luck i'd have no luck at all

Sometimes the multiconnector where it goes from the car to the door can be at fault for that sort of problem, disconnect it, blow it out/dry with a compressor check for the green stuff and give it all a good clean/wd40 or whatever..
