Fan heater/blower speed control?

Any electrical issues

Well after trying to search for some stuff on this and not coming up with anything (three letter search not acceptable!), thought I'd post something instead. I think I can remember it being brought up before but anyway. What speeds are the blowers supposed to run at? What I mean is the rotating selector on my cali seems to only kick in when I'm at the second last slot of the selector. Been reading on the net that it's possibly the resistor heater motor? Anyone any ideas or has it always been like this?

Think it's your control mate, mine's noticeable on all settings, with the last one being a fair blast.
Sounds similar to what happens on Metro's (g/f has one and I've yet to replace it, her heater/blower fan only work on 1 position out of 3).

Not sure on the cally if the resistor is part of the control itself, I think it is seeing how chunky that module is, but don't know for definate.

I think the resistors are on the heater fan, under the pollen filter, not sure though

Actually, that sounds more likely Rog, now that I think about it.
g/f's Metro has it in the engine bay right next to the blower motor itself, with no covering, hence it gets rusted to f**k!

Cheers for that. Found this on ebay and wondered if this was what I needed? It's item number 200124119157. Any ideas?
