Interior Lights

Just a couple of questions, I dont have any light behind the headlight switch, should this have it as standard or is it only if you take it apart and fit an led in there yourself?

Also my heater controls dont seems very brings, is this common, Ive just bought a kit for replacing the bulbs so will be getting it sorted, just wondered if its the same on other calibras...

The headlight switch should have a light in it iirc when the lights are switched on. The heater controls are not very bright and could do with changing to the led replacement ones which are generally for sale on ebay.

Headlight switch light should come on with ignition the same as the heater panel light.

1.First the 2 screws on the ignition cowling...

Or can be seen better from this pic (borrowed from skellem)
pic shown with steering wheel removed, but this job can be done with wheel left on.

then lift the top of the ignition cowling off.

2.Then the bit of plastic trim that runs along below the clocks...

Image

This is fairly awkward to get out,you just got to mully it a little at the ends.once one end comes out it's easy.

3.Now you can remove these 2 screws that holds the heater unit in place

Image

And another 2 screws on the other side of the unit, behind the clock.(the trim round the clock just pops off, then 2 clips top and bottom hold the rest of the clock in place, just nip them towards eachother and pull the clock out.)

Image

4.Once you have done that, you can pull the heater controls unit towards you a couple of inches.
and you will see this:

Image

The small plastic bit that the 2 spade connectors are attached to just pushes back over and you will see the bulb:

The old bulb just pulls out...

No doubt you allready know how to do this, but thought id post it incase it might help someone else.
