Warning lamps on dash
Hi,
Can anyone help me, i've racked my brains and cant figure this out.
A few weeks ago my brake warning light came on and stayed on, i changed the pads, Front and rear, but there was no warning lead going to any of the pads which i thought Odd.....
I've checked the fluid level and thats fine but the damn light still wont go out!!!
Whats eerie is the pads did need doing??????
HELP!!!!
Mike

just join the wires, make the circit, thats the easy fix with pads prob, aslong as you know pads etc ok and keep an eye on them, actualy, on some models there is only one side with a sensor, my v6 was like that, it had a dummy plug on the o/s (witch must of had wires connected up inside, to make circit)

Thanks guys,
Robbie, re-checked and its definately the pad worn lamp.
Heavenley, i'd agree with you but the lamp wasn't on before, think i'll try and trace the wiring from the relays.
ecosseM, i didn't really want to just join them up, i'd rather find the fault, but i guess i might have to in the end.... isn't it strange how you can start to hate the colour orange lol..
ZXRick, have you tried checking to make sure the lamps are grounded properly? if there's only a slight ground, then the lamps will work but will change the resistance of the circuit which may be enough to trigger the sensor??? Just an idea cos mine is on but i know there's a problem with the headlight wires
Again, cheers everyone...

Any help appreciated???
The pad wear sensor plugs into a two pin plug which is clipped to the inner wheel arch, one method is to use a paper clip and insert it into both holes on the plug and tape up.
Next time you buy pads with sensors take off tape pull out paper clip and plug in sensor.
