Headlight lamp - loose connections

Hi I have tried searching but cannot find a solution to what I think must be a fairly common problem?

My problem is that the metal clips that hold the lamps in place do not fit tightly enough up against the back of the lamp terminal. The problem means that the lamps sometimes go out until the next time I go over a bump or bother to fiddle around under the bonnet.

Has anybody else had this? Does anybody have a good suggestion as to how to fix it?

Yeah, had the problem for years! You just need to bend the wire clips back a little. This can be done without taking the light out. Bend the U shape round in a tighter circle and it should give you a tighter fit.
