ignition barrel
hi, newbie in need of help.
i own a 1995 calibra 2.0 8v, the ignition has broken. 2 things needed
1) how do i remove the old barrel? i have looked every where for this supposed little hole to put something in to release the barrel but cannot
find it
advice please.
2) if i get the info i need to release the old barrel where can i get a another
one from? does anyone have one?
further info : my car has the transponder for the chipped key.
please help

you need to take the steering column shroud off and you'll be able to see the hole that is used to release the barrel.
remember the key has to be turned to position 1 if i remember rightly before you will be able to release it.
you should be able to get a barrel from the scrappys and the chip could be switched over to the other barrels key.

it's a very small hole should be about an inch or so in from the lock side. if i remember you can't see it looking down on the barrel, it almost sits behind the steering wheel you may have to turn the wheel to see it.

it should still fit mate, as it states if you have the transponder then i can't see any problem.
