Not really as you have the other sensor to check oil level ................... dip stick.

Mine come son now and again since the rebuild, Like Robbie says, I check the dipstick every every few days. and nothing is wrong, so i just ignore it.
A new sensor isnt cheap for what it is.

why all you do is open the bonnet and pull a wee stick out wipe it then re-insert it and lo and behold you know the level of your oil...and much more accurate than a silly wee light
unless your the lazy type ...or have no arms

Disconnect and bridge teh wires. Failing that, remove the sensor and clean that up. Maybe its a little sticky.eco16v wrote:Fraz wrote:level sensor, if you want light out just disconnect it

The oil level light will stay on you just disconect the sensor. Just take the bulb out, forget about it and do what the others sugest using the dip-stick.

Re: oil level light
Just a quicky, to remove that sensor in the front of the sump, does it twist and pull or is it clipped in?
