did u disconnect the battery BEFORE doing the work? if u didnt then as all people above said you will have to get a tech 1 or iirc something about leaving the battery disconected for just over an hour MAY clear it! but known me i will be wrong.... lol

well the only way the light would come on ( I presume it was not on prior to the change?)
you have the wries incorrect or not fully connected
or you had the power on while the airbag was disconnectedcted
or the a part your fitting has a fault in it someplace

No the light was not on be for i only taped the wires together to see if it would work be for soldering them
