fuel computer, fuel sensor calibration.

Any electrical issues

I wonder if I could ask if anyone knows anything about how to do this:

I have installed a fuel comp to my SE7. All readings worked fine, except for being wildly inaccurate. I sent it to Ian to calibrate it for a 2.0 ecotec and now the readings it gives are accurate, but the range just shows as 'L'.

I know that this means I have to recalibrate the tank sensor, as per Ians instructions here http://www.ian.till.btinternet.co.uk/abs-z...FC/TankCals.htm.

I am having difficulty finding it, however and wondered if anyone knows the location of the fuel tank sensor on the later ecotecs? I have found where the picture was taken in the example, but mine simply doesn't look like that!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not really much help but, the fuel tanks sensor unit is built in with the fuel pump inside the the tank. If u can find the fuel pump then there is 2 small connetors comin from it. Hope this helps a little.

BTW how much did u pay for you fuel computer?? and where from?

That might be of help as the workshop manual covers the removal of the fuel pump.

The fuel comp cost about £30 incl p&p off e-bay. Bargain (+£15 for reprogramming it)

Thanks again
