Need a bit of help

i have just got one of these ( link below ) its fully functional with mediacar etc and works well but i am wanting to power it inside my cally i have the touch screen connections for amp just about everything im just unsure on how to power it up what to use etc im not bad at car electrics and electronics but not sure on this one and i know there are a few guys out there that have computers in your cars... the carputer has a pover supply the same as a laptop..... also jhow can i get it so it hibernates when i turn the key of and power up when i start the car all without the voltage peaking, etc also keeping the screen bright i am also running quite a large amp but i wont have a stereo in the car for the remote to switch it on and off is it possible to do this through the carputer or should i just put a switch in... i also have neons, LED's etc will i need a bigger alternator...... LOL ( also whats best to use for radio its running XP )

daddycool is probably the best person to ask, he fitted one recently.

I just remembered a local Marine electronics shop near me that has a good range of cheap 12V-PC convertors:

Damn good prices I thought: £29 for 55W £45 for 120W

Nah, stick with the Maplin one - it looks like even better value for money!
