RE: F28 gear oil?
Mine has flashed a few times when arming and when going off, but not most of the time, the way i used to test it was to get someone to lock the door and watch the led till it was armed, while i left the bonnet open and held the bonnet sensor down, then when i let it up i knew it was armed,
Theres something about how the led flashes ie slowly, rapidly or on all the time, but ive had the alarm manual pinched so cant say which is which flashing rate.

RE: how do i know if my alarm is activated?
Should be a connector floating about near theTop right side(when looking from front bumper)between the fuse box and alarm horn. To get another one post up on someone who is breaking that model of cally you have.

o2 sims YET ANOTHER free sim OFFER (
Do the same as the bonnet switch but use the door switch, It's a little plastic cylider that sticks out about an inch on the door frame, The same with the boot switch mate.
