Re: Knock sensor wire
It's located at the lower inlet manifold side of the block, below the the idle speed adjuster, and is only accessible from below. Thats for the C20XE and X20XEV.
Mark...........It's Red........It's a V6............It's an SE9!..............and She's bad.

Re: Knock sensor wire
what engine are we on about then??
Re: Knock sensor wire
yeah all sorted on the engine swap,
then only wire i have left is the knock sensor wire, its not the sensor position thats the problem, its the connector ie the part that plugs into the car loom

Re: Knock sensor wire
As im still not sure on the engine, or to be honest the question. as you do ask where the wire goes. and the wire goes to the knock sensor lol. but you say you know where that is lol. so i'll just say what its like on an XE and LET and maybe it iwll help
The sensor in the location mentioned above (around cylinder 3) is very small and has the connector as part of it without any wire.. this has a red plug that connects to it, which comes off the small loom that also has an identical black plug on it which should go to the idle control valve. the other end of this short Y piece goes into a plug connected to the loom that is a flat connector with about 4-5 pins and comes out the loom on the passenger side of the injector rail as you follow it away.

Re: Knock sensor wire
i will take some pictures of the wires im on about tomorrow night and post them,
that connector with the 4-5 pin connector on is plugged into the loom that goes to the starter iirc.
i could be wrong, will check tomorrow tho
